Tankers  

Over the past 42 years ABC Maritime has owned or managed more than 15 Tankers of all types and sizes including a FSO while having been vetted by all Oil Majors. We currently manage a fleet of chemical, product, and bitumen Tankers.

Our traditional ship owning background allows us to fully understand our clients’ needs which have a diverse geographic, and industry profile. Hence, all our services are always fully customised to match our clients’ profiles and requirements while, beyond the call of duty, we go the extra mile to fully satisfy their needs. 

 

Our ex-seagoing engineers and deck officers who are involved in our Technical and HSEQ management teams bring with them invaluable hands-on experience from the vessel and are in the best position to understand, react and manage complex and demanding scenarios. Over 80% of all Superintendent positions are covered by ex-seafarers of ours, colleagues who have know the company for decades. 

 

Our extensive experience in Shipping has shaped the existing team into a seasoned outfit, with deep knowledge of Oil Majors’ Vetting procedures, resulting in successful SIRE inspections, and providing a clear competitive advantage to our clients.

ABC Maritime holds a 35+ years Document of Compliance (D.O.C.) and Safety Management System (S.M.S. certified by Det Norske Veritas and Bureau Veritas). We are also certified with ISO 9001 and 14001 by DNV.

Our seafarers are taking care of our fleet vessels as if they were their own, operating with a strong synergy alongside our shore staff.

 

This alignment between our sea and shore teams is reflected in the employment longevity of our seafarers: many have been with us for over 17 years with an average employment term of 16 years for Masters and 16 years for Chief Engineers.  

 

Our Operations expertise is further enhanced via the use of company and client customized cutting-edge software which allow the opportunity to control daily vessel’s performance, earnings, and results. 

 

Ultimately, we make sure on a daily basis that our activities are driven by Operational Excellence and are continually vetted by every Oil Major, Total, Shell, ENI, Exxon-Mobil just to name a few, as well as Energy & Commodity traders (Addax, Cargill, Vitol, Trafigura and more). 

 

When it comes to our HSEQ performance, ABC Maritime has had no Fatalities or Permanent Total or Partial Disability nor Major Accidents (Navigational Incidents (Collision, Grounding, etc.) & MARPOL Violations) for the last 20 years. 

 

We are a Council Member of Intertanko representing Switzerland as well as a Member of Intertanko Vetting Committee. 

 

ABC Maritime is a Nautical Affiliate of the Nautical Institute and supporting MARS (Mariners’ Alerting and Reporting Scheme) since 2018 and is also recognized for meeting the eligibility requirements for the USCG Q21 (Quality Shipping in the Twenty First Century) Program since 2013.  

 

ABC Maritime AG was awarded with an AMVER Certificate in recognition of its wonderful support for the Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue (AMVER) system and is a traditional active Participant in the Royal Dutch Shell – Maritime Partners in Safety:
