ABCmaritime History
ABCmaritime is a privately owned shipping company located in Nyon, just outside Geneva, Switzerland. ABCmaritime was founded in 1982 by Hans Tanner and provides inter-national shipping-related services to ship owners, banks, financial insti-tutions and international organi-zations. The company manages around 30 vessels. Part of the fleet is owned by the ABC Group and part is in management for outside owners. The vessels under ABCmaritime management range from chemicals, oil, bitumen tankers to offshore vessels operating mainly on the West African Coast. |
ABC also operates a fleet of river and sea tugs and barges working predominantly in the Caspian sea. Furthermore ABC is involved in Navy projects in Europe and manages special Navy vessels. The Company is certified to ISO 9001:2000 and 14001 standard by Det Norske Veritas and its Safety Management system is certified by Det Norske Veritas and Bureau Veritas. The economic strength and political stability of Switzerland, its excellent telecommunications and renowned banking system, makes the Company’s location attractive for its worldwide shipping activities. |
